Brian D. Egger is the founder and publisher of BreakingCall.com and the author of Social Media Strategies for Investing (Adams Media, November 2014). He is also a contributing writer for TheStreet.com. Brian was a nationally-ranked stock analyst at Credit Suisse and BMO Capital Markets and has written extensively on a variety of investment-related topics, including the impact of social media on investing. He held four team positions, including two second-place rankings, in Institutional Investor's "All-America Research Team." He was recognized six times as a Wall Street Journal "Best on the Street" analyst.
During a twenty-year career on Wall Street, Brian held positions of increasing responsibility as an equity analyst at Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, BMO Capital Markets, and Topeka Capital Markets. He served as Associate Director of Research at BMO and Director of Research at the Institutional Research Group. An experienced lecturer, Brian taught securities analysis to MBA students as an Adjunct Finance Professor at Columbia Business School. He received a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business.
